Police in Kipkelion, Kericho County, are reportedly holding a man who allegedly beat his son to death for drinking and refusing to return to university.

Three brothers from Lilloch in Kipkelion West Constituency accosted and killed their 60-year-old father after he turned down their demands to subdivide and allocate them his coffee plantation.
According to Lilloch area chief Joshua Tonui, Bernard Korir,30, Joshua Korir,20, and Ezra are Korir,15, attacked and beat their father James Langat to death after he brushed aside their demands. The domestic quarrel between the young men and their father has been there for along time. One of their quarrels stemmed out of the young men demands to be allocated coffee plantation, he said.
Tonui added: Things took a nasty turn last night after the sons picked a quarrel with their father and [they] beat him to death before fleeing the scene.
