Henderson County (Mar 10, 2022) - RALEIGH โ The state Senate voted Wednesday to adjourn the longest long session of the legislature in decades, effective Thursday. The adjournment resolution calls to reconvene the state legislature on April 4, then gavel out until May 4.

A bipartisan group of senators is crafting legislation that would find ways to expand broadband access in North Carolina. The bill, filed Monday, appears unfinished. Several sections remain unfilled, presumably with details to come in later editions. 5:40 p.m. One Merck & Co.s facility located in Durham is at the receiving end of a $105.4 million federal government investment to aid in the production of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
