His appointment coincides with the departure of ECD Carlos Camacho, who takes on a similar position in Wunderman Thompson Amsterdam.

Wunderman Thompson Malaysia has hired Kit Ong as Executive Creative Director.   Prior to this appointment, Kit Ong was a partner in two independent creative agencies based in Vietnam and China. He was the Chief Creative Officer of The Purpose Group in Saigon, and a Creative Partner of LogicIllogic in Shanghai. Ong has consistently produced effective creative works that resonated with local cultures. He has worked on Budweiser, Land Rover, HSBC, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, Fonterra, Burger King...

Ong told A+M that the experience of helping brands thrive in a data-driven eCommerce world as fast-paced as Shanghai and Vietnam will be immensely useful back in Malaysia.
