The Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Kogi State Governorship Election, DIG Habu Sani, has ordered that on no account should security personnel attached to Very Important Personalities, political and public officers escort their principals during the period of restrictions of vehicular movement. The order was contained in a statement by the Kogi Police Command Spokesman, SP William Aya which was made available to journalists in Lokoja on Friday evening.
