Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave the go-ahead to new
appointments in the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee and two district
executive committees as he announced personnel decisions.
A memorial sign commemorating Shimon Peres was unveiled in his native village of Vishnevo, Volozhin District, on 2 August, the day that marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous politician who was the two-time prime minister and the ninth president of Israel and Nobel laureate.
“Tomorrow we are going to hold a session of the Russian-Belarusian Council. The previous meeting was held in Kaliningrad in December 2022. There have been advances on a number of important areas for us, including the supply of construction materials and agricultural products,” Anton Alikhanov said.
It is important to strengthen the national security and preserve the memory of the Great Victory, State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich told reporters.
