A plan has been finalised to ensure complete lockdown in Rawalpindi during the Eid holidays, according to district officials. The officials said that the police would set up five pickets to prevent tourists from reaching Malika Kohsar Murree and other tourist sites in the Rawalpindi division.
The personnel deployed at the pickets will monitor citizens leaving Rawalpindi as they would not be allowed to re-enter until the end of the holidays. The district officials said that during Eid holidays, all recreational places including Murree, Kotli Satyan etc as well as public parks will remain closed. District officers will remain present in the field during the Eid holidays

A dozen filling stations found mixing smuggled petrol with the local supplies were sealed by the authorities.
Petrol and diesel smuggled from Iran is supplied to illegal filling stations from the border towns of Balochistan to as far as Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The smugglers cross check points manned by customs, levies, FC and police to deliver Iranian petrol to buyers across the country.
The customs, civil defence, industries, assistant commissioners and police sealed 12 filling stations in Rawat and Gujar Khan in a joint crackdown, which has been launched at the direction of the federal and Punjab governments. They also seized thousands of litres of smuggled and adulterated fuels.

MURREE (Dunya News) - According to a notification issued by the senior member Board of Revenue Punjab, the historic Punjab House spanning an area of 98 kanals has become the property of Kohsar University Murree with all its benefits and assets.
According to details, this has been done in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to use government buildings for the larger collective interest.
MNA Sadaqat Ali Abbasi in his statement said that Punjab House Murree will be handed over to the Tourism Department of Kohsar University. Along with theory, students will also be given practical education of tourism.
