The Russian Defence Ministry said the attack had been “foiled” and did not report any damage or casualties on the peninsula which is frequently targeted by Ukraine.

“The guys took vodka and food, drank with their colleagues, and ate. And many were poisoned,” said the Russian report of the Ukrainian partisans bearing gifts.
