we get more from nbc s chris clackum. reporter: bill cosby is being formally charged in a sexual assault case that s coming from just one of the more than 50 women who accuse him of drugging and/or sexually assaulting them. there is one charge that is filed, aggravated indecent assault, which is a felony of the first degree. reporter: the incoming district attorney says this case involves a former employee who cosby invited near his home in 2004. on the evening in question mr. cosby urged her to take pills that he provided to her and to drink wine. the effect of which rendered her unable to move or respond to his advances. and he committed aggravated indecent assault upon her. reporter: the charge against cosby comes just two weeks after he filed defamation lawsuits against several of his accusers. he s scheduled to be arraigned in suburban philadelphia wednesday afternoon. chris clackum, nbc news. in fact, that arraignment will come in just a few minutes. also ne

murder charges against the doctor. we spoke with the deputy d.a. by phone earlier this morning. she tells us that her office first had doubts about their case against the doctor back in july, which is why they released him then with the understanding they wanted to re-examine certain aspects of the case before this afternoon s hearing. this morning she said they reached a decision to drop the charges against the doctor, in quote, the interest of justice, unquote. his friend, galvez, still stands accused of stabbing to death the doctor s wife. this happened inside their gilroy home on april 1st. she showed the d.a. documents that proved galvez is a con man. those are her words, who was trying to swindle the two out of their condo located in ecuador. when galvez went to close the door on the sale of property, he killed her on his own without being hired to do so by the doctor as the district attorney s office first alleged. i represent an innocent client. i mean, he s 100% in

famous mrs. doubtfire house here where you can see there s a police officer, patrol car still stationed here outside. we ve confirmed the home owner, a plastic surgeon who specialized in femme anization procedures told investigators he believes the arsonist is a former disgruntled patient. property damage not too bad, pretty minimal, in fact. the scorch marks on the garage door are very apparent. there was also apparently two fires set because police say the home owner smelled smoke around 8:00 last night, opened the door and saw his door mat on fire. he was able to douse the flames himself and call police who then determined this was a case of arson. police officers have been keeping an eye on the house for safety. they say because it is a high profile and popular tourist spot. we just want to make sure that obviously, this was an intentional act. we don t want to see the suspect come back and try to finish the job, if you will so we want to make sure we have officers th

9-year-old jordan aumgren was murdered at his home allegedly by his older brother s 18-year-old friend. investigators are still searching for a motive. they have a better sense of the timeline leading up to his death and plan to release that information early this afternoon. the grief over jordan s death obvious this morning at timber point elementary where he had attended in the third grade. the district superintendent tells us they informed parents it happened yesterday bya e-mail and that today they would be addressing his death with third fourth, and fifth graders. we re letting them know we re all sad. we understand how they feel as well both teachers and students. do they have questions, and if they do we have many counselors and many psychologists on campus today. reporter: the boy was stabbed to death yesterday at his home. the suspect is his older brother s friend 18-year-old billy shultz who had spent the night here saturday. it s not clear why shultz allegedly
