SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) The Heart of Sullivan and Christmas on the Square hosted a drive thru Christmas celebration Saturday evening in place of their annual event.
During the celebration, families were able to drive by in their cars and drop off their letters to Santa.
While driving by, they also received goodie bags and got a chance to speak with Santa from a distance.
Kristi Burkhart, Heart of Sullivan president, said they wanted to make sure the Sullivan community could have a safe and happy holiday. It s amazing to see the community come out. We had a lot of community organizations and businesses get involved and donate to the goodie bags, she said. It s been great to see everybody get involved when a spread a little holidays of cheer.
