Nurse manager Kristopher Haskins: COVID brought sadness, ‘moments of complete awe’

There are other costs, too.
“Since I am continuously exposed to COVID-19, my family and I rarely go anywhere,” said Haskins, 42. “We have only seen our extended family once in the last year. My family, which is usually very social, has been more isolated than we have ever been.”
Looking ahead, Haskins said he thinks the social nature of humans will be a powerful driver to push society back to normal. But he said he also thinks that putting the strains of 2020 behind us won’t be as easy as dropping masks and trading remote work for office time.
