Hong Kong – Sofitel Luxury Hotels has announced that it will open a stunning new 405-room hotel in the booming city of Kunming in early 2014. Kunming is the capital of Yunnan province and often referred to as Spring City due to its pleasant climate.
The Sofitel Kunming is being developed by Kunming Iron & Steel Holding Co. Ltd. (whose parent company is KunSteel), and will occupy first to third, fifth floors plus the top 24 floors of the 50-storey building, guaranteeing sweeping views over the city. The lower floors will comprise luxury office space and will become the headquarters of KunSteel.
