SURING – Kylee Stelzer’s profusive volunteerism emerges out of a sense of loyalty to her community and a desire to make it a better place.
“By doing this, I better myself as a person and inspire others to get involved and make a positive change as well,” Stelzer said. “People want to change the world, but everything starts in your own community.”
In recognition of her efforts, the Suring High School senior has been awarded a $3,200 scholarship from the National Honor Society.
Stelzer is the only student from Oconto County to earn a national society scholarship in the last decade, according to lists of recipients on the society s website.
