A RESTAURANT has been crowned takeaway of the year by Argus readers after it continued to feed hungry customers during lockdown. Nostos in Holland Road, Hove, was voted the winner from a shortlist of 15 businesses across Sussex that offer a takeaway service. Kyriakos Baxevanis, who opened the Greek restaurant in August 2019 alongside co-owner and head chef Alexandros Tzimos, beat competition from neighbouring restaurants including Indiana Tandoori in Hove and Wheelies Café Diner in Brighton. When the government first introduced lockdown restrictions in March, restaurants were forced to stop customers eating inside in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19.
