The Guardia Civil has arrested a drug trafficker in La Algaba (Seville), who had been on the run since July.
The arrest took place during the celebration of a communion in a restaurant in which he participated as a guest. The detainee ran through some orange groves after detecting the presence of the Guardia Civil in the restaurant. With the help of the drone, the officers were able to find him and arrest him.
Operation ITÁLICA 29 LLORÓN, concluded in July with the arrest of more than 30 members of the criminal organisation of the HERMANOS LANAS. The Guardia Civil found more than five tons of hashish, two kilograms of cocaine, more than 30 vehicles, various firearms (including a Kalashnikov submachine gun) and more than 100,000 euro.

Police in Spain have arrested an âextremely slipperyâ fugitive alleged drug-trafficker after staking out the first holy communion party he was attending and using a drone to track him as he tried to escape through an orange grove.
The man, referred to by the initials DJCM, had been on the run since last July, when police broke up a major drug gang, arresting 30 people and seizing more than 5 tonnes of hashish, 2kg of cocaine, dozens of cars, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and more than â¬100,000.
According to a statement from the Guardia Civil, DJCM was responsible for the gangâs logistical infrastructure.
