One Year Later: Lessons from the Pandemic

Twitter Facebook On March 15, 2020, life as we knew it came to an abrupt halt. The commonwealth of Massachusetts had just issued stay-at-home orders, forcing BU to act swiftly. Dorms closed. Teaching and learning went remote. And all but essential personnel began what would be months and months of working from home. Fast forward a year, and we’re still learning to cope, adjust, and recalibrate.  To commemorate the one-year anniversary, we reached out to students, faculty, and staff and asked them to talk about the biggest lessons they’ve learned over the past year.  For some it was a renewed sense of the importance of family. For others, a realization that it’s okay to be selfish (in a good way). Others say the past year has taught them the value of taking chances. Take a look.
