Indias space-based solar observatory Aditya-L1 will be given a send off towards the Sun on September 19 when the spacecraft will be maneuvered to Trans-Lagrangian Point 1 Insertion (TL1I), the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said on Friday.

India’s space-based solar observatory Aditya-L1 will be given a send off towards the Sun on Sept 19 when the spacecraft will be manoeuvred to Trans-Lagrangian Point 1 Insertion (TL1I), the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said today.

ISROs Aditya L1 solar mission successfully completes third earth-bound manoeuvre on its journey to the Sun.

India's Aditya-L1 solar probe has snapped some striking shots in space, capturing itself and the Earth and moon. Aditya-1 is getting ready for its mission to study the sun, which is a first for India.

Japan's mission will attempt to make a precise landing on the Moon next year.

Aditya L1 has captured the Earth and the Moon as it continues its journey outside the planet to Lagrange Point 1.

The video shared by the Indian Space Research Organisation showed the image of one hemisphere of Earth illuminated by sunlight as well as a white speck that the agency pointed out was the Moon.

Chennai, Sep 7 (IANS) Indian space agency on Thursday said the Aditya-L1 spacecraft has taken a selfie and the images of the Earth and the Moon.
