While today may feel like the perfect beach day with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures, strong winds from the north will quickly turn the lake shore dangerous.
A HIGH Beach Hazard Risk is in effect for the shore line, Mason and Oceana counties. From Muskegon to the south there is a MODERATE Beach Hazard is in effect for the remainder of the coast.
To kick start the holiday weekend, many will be heading to the lake shore to enjoy some sunshine. However, portions of the Lake Michigan lake shore have a High Beach Hazard and Small Craft Advisory.
