Bodies of two swimmers located in Willamette River View Comments Crews have recovered the bodies of two people who went missing over the weekend in different locations on the Willamette River. Nasiruddin Shaik, 37, of Salem, was found around noon Wednesday about a half-mile downriver of the Wheatland Ferry.  Shaik went missing near the ferry Saturday and was last seen struggling in the water off the riverbank, according to the Yamhill County Sheriff s Office. A contingent of law enforcement and rescue personnel searched the waterway and riverbank, utilizing multiple boats and a helicopter, until 10 p.m. that evening.
