No new cases were reported in Cottonwood, Jackson or Murray counties. The new cases were among 583 reported statewide during the one-day period. The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 589,527 (positive and antigen tests), with 571,752 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,952 Minnesota healthcare workers have contracted the virus.

The new cases were among 1,191 reported statewide during the one-day period. The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 588,952 (positive and antigen tests), with 570,036 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,920 Minnesota healthcare workers have contracted the virus. No new deaths were recorded across Minnesota during the 24-hour period. Minnesota’s death toll from the virus stands at 7,231, including 4,378 residents of long-term care facilities.

Three new cases of the novel coronavirus in Jackson; two in Nobles County 11:12 am, May 9, 2021 × REGIONAL An additional five Cottonwood County residents received positive COVID-19 results during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health. There were three new cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County, two new cases in Nobles County, and one new case each in Pipestone and Rock counties. There were a total of 810 new cases statewide during the single-day reporting period. The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 587,762 (positive and antigen tests), with 568,295 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,896 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.

The information was provided in a Friday morning update from the Minnesota Department of Health. The new cases are among 1,453 statewide during the single-day reporting period. The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 585,677 (positive and antigen tests), with 564,326 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Assisted living facility plan approved | News, Sports, Jobs

iminor@dailypress.net ESCANABA A new assisted living and memory care facility is one step closer to being built in Escanaba after the city council approved plan for the project. The Parkview Assisted Living facility will include a 26,145 square foot home for the aged, consisting of both assisted living and memory care units, as well as a garage and 17 cottage duplexes. The cottages will total 34 units, for seniors who are able to live independently. The main building and two of the duplexes are expected to be constructed in 2021 with the remainder of the cottages to be constructed in the future.
