Lake Carlos State Park will hold its annual Fall Festival from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, with harvest games, archery and butter-making among its activities.

A number of camping sites in Narrow Hills Provincial Park have been evacuated and closed as a result of the Harding fire that is burning just north of Smeaton.
According to Becky Hoehn, the acting Executive Director of Park Operations with the Ministry of Parks, Culture, and Sport, there have been a number of closures. Lower Fishing Lake, Zeden Lake, Ispuchaw Lake, Rangers Beach Group Camping, Lakeview Group Camping, group tenting one and two, and Lower Fishing Lake overflow sites have all been evacuated and closed.
