On Wednesday, April 24, around 8 p.m., OPP say officers were called to a parking lot on Gore Street where two people had been reportedly shot by a pellet gun.
Police say they are searching for the people and vehicles said to be “continuing to drive in a reckless and dangerous manner” at various times of the day and night around Carleton Place High School, Lake Avenue West, Riverside Park and Carleton Place Canoe Club.
On November 12, 2023, a body was located in the Mississippi River near the Village of Pakenham. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Rose Kerwin, who had been reported missing on November 13, 2023.
Following an investigation two people were arrested and charged on December 19.
