Chandrayaan-3 achieved lunar orbit on August 5 and is currently undergoing a series of manoeuvres to gradually reduce its orbit and position it over the lunar poles before landing on the South Pole region on August 23. The mission aims to demonstrate end-to-end capability for safe landing and roving on the lunar surface.
