There's been a massive surge in development on certain unpaved roads since the county code changed to allow building along the roads in 2009.

Flathead County has applied to the Federal Lands Access Program for a grant that would provide funds for a study to investigate the impacts of a project done on the North Fork Road.

If weather permits, beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, May 1, crews will close KY 1274 between Mountainside Drive near KY 801 and T. McKinney Road (milepoints 4.1 to 6.8) to perform a roadbed stabilization. The road will remain closed all day and all night through about 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 3.
