Preserving the Stoney Nakoda language is the purpose behind an ongoing project to create school resources to teach the language to younger generations.

Kehkimin Wolastoqey language immersion school and the Language Conservancy developed a collection of books and an app to help teach the Wolastoqey language to children at the school and beyond.
