Uniindia: Los Angeles, Sep 7 (UNI) NASAs James Webb Space Telescope has captured the image of the Tarantula Nebula, the space agency said.

A "giant space tarantula" has been caught by NASA's powerful James Webb Telescope. At 161,000 light years away from Earth in the Large Magellanic Cloud galaxy, the Tarantula Nebula is the nickname for 30 Doradus.

It got its name for its appearance of a tarantula’s home—a burrow lined with its own spun silk. The telescope captured thousands of never-seen-before young stars.

NASA's James Webb Telescope with the help of Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) captures an image of the Tarantula Nebula which is a formation of protostars and space dust.

NASA's newest space telescope gave a unique glimpse at the fascinating star-forming region hundreds of thousands of light years away from Earth.

It is the largest and brightest star-form region in the Local Group, a collection of "nearby" galaxies that also includes the Milky Way.

The James Webb Space Telescope captured a detailed image of the Tarantula Nebula, located 161,000 light-years away from Earth.

Astronomers trained three of Webb's high-resolution infrared instruments on the nebula and spotted young stars, as well as distant galaxies.
