Shoes will give kid a service dog
The Community Resource Center, 940 Pennsylvania Ave., East Liverpool, is collecting new and gently used shoes to help raise funds for a service dog for a 10-year-old Austistic boy who would greatly benefit from having an assistance animal. Hikers will take to Hellbender
The Columbiana County Park District will hold a spring hike at noon Saturday starting at Hellbender Bluff Park’s Lones Road entrance (GPS coordinates are 40.70836,-80.64789). Geologist and wild flower expert Cheryl Mattevi, mycologist Walt Sturgeon and park lore expert Mike West will lead the hike, which will focus on spring flowers, migrating birds and mushrooms. Banquet in Salem to feature fried chicken
Darin Odey USA Equipment Solutions will sponsor the drive-thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone (no later than 7 p.m.) Thursday at the Salem Memorial Building.
