Update: January 8, 12:54 p.m. ET: Astrobotic issued a third update at 12:34 p.m. ET, and the news is more encouraging. “We have successfully re-established communications with Peregrine after the known communication blackout,” the company stated on X. “The team’s improvised maneuver was successful in reorienting Peregrine’s solar array towards the Sun. We are now charging the battery.”
Astrobotic on Monday said its Peregrine lunar lander, experienced an issue after successfully launching from Florida early in the morning. This is one of many Moon missions that didn't go well.
