Thousands are gathering in and around the Kennedy Space Center waiting for NASA's 'mega moon rocket' debut flight into space, and most importantly its Orion spacecraft that will head to the moon.

An engine cooling issue on NASAs giant new rocket for deep-space exploration forced the agency to call off the boosters much-anticipated launch debut early Monday (Aug. 29).

The first in a series of missions, NASA said the Artemis 1 mission will provide a foundation for human deep space exploration.

History will have to wait a few more days. NASA’s Artemis I launch, scheduled for Monday morning, will be postponed until at least the end of the week thanks to a series of delays and technical problems during its first launch attempt.
