The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently granted clearance for a vibration belt known as Osteoboost, a prescription device that aims to reduce bone loss in post-menopausal women.
The device was the first approved nonpharmacologic treatment for postmenopausal women with low bone density. It has not been tested for ability to reduce fractures.
