Indian Prairie District 204 will use a $500,000 grant from Edward-Elmhurst Health to fund afterschool and weekend mental health therapy sessions at some of its schools.
To address the continuing shortage of substitute teachers, the Indian Prairie Unit District 204 school board voted to increase the daily pay rate for subs.
Following the example of Indian Prairie Unit District school board President Laurie Donahue, board member Allison Fosdick received permission from her colleagues to become a substitute teacher in the district.
