All time. the staff writer. i wanted to cry showing that clip. that s the reaction a lot of people were having. these are the actresses that go back 40 years. the actresses that she beat out for the part. sissy spacek and cindy williams from laverne and shirley. you look at the role and it s impossible to imagine anybody but carrie fisher playing that. a 19-year-old novice. she had been in shampoo and came from a show business family, but didn t have a long resume at that point. as she said about falling in love with harrison ford, she was a babe in the woods and overflowing with energy. what you can see is somebody smart and condescending and an icon for a lot of young women.
I wasn t academically inclined in school. your story is a hollywood story in a lot of ways. going through the book. taps chronicle of, you know, television and working in the industry. it s amazing. i was very blessed. i was very, very blessed. and laverne and shirley certainly opened a gateway into wonderland. you punch down when you want more gas. shouldn t we use the beans for gas? you two were so great together. what was the dynamic like for the two of you work together throughout the years? the chemistry was we just had it. was there a natural tension to be one part of a comedy duo? did things get operatic yes. created differences but never really created differences because we were always on the same page when we hit that stage. singing and honky tonky way what does comedy mean to
