JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - It’s a new year, and Jonesboro police are already investigating several catalytic converter thefts.
According to a police report, the first theft happened to an Arkansas State University van, where someone cut off two catalytic converters from a 2010 Ford Econoline E-350, valued at $3,000.
The theft happened sometime between Dec. 30 and Jan. 4 at Burt’s Auto Service, 5527 E. Nettleton Avenue in Jonesboro.
The second theft involved a van from Master Roof & Remodel, 4801 E. Parker Rd., where $1,676.23 in damage happened when someone stole a catalytic converter from a 2017 Ford F-450.
