Prayagraj, Jan 29 (PTI) Allahabad High Court has observed that courts are not industrial establishments and bar associations cannot bargain for their demands like trade unions, as it expressed serious concern over the ongoing strike at the Tehsil Bar Association, Rasra, in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district.
The Bar Association has raised concerns that the transfer to the new courts would be inconvenient not just for the lawyers, but also for the litigants as there is no adequate transport facility to the Mazgaon branch.
The Kerala High Court has initiated a contempt of court case against some of the lawyers involved in a recent protest that halted proceedings in a magistrate court in Kerala's Kottayam district.
