McMichael's Marty Woods wins female coach of the year at HighSchoolOT Honors
Marty Woods is the winningest volleyball coach in North Carolina history, a feat she accomplished in 2021. Woods now has 776 wins after McMichael defeated Camden County in four sets in the 2A state championship match last fall. It was the first state title in McMichael volleyball history - and it was the first of her career for Woods. In her 44 years coaching volleyball, she has had two runner-up finishes and one championship. McMichael finished this season with a 37-3 record.
