The Lead Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of smoke and fire visible in an occupied, multiple family residential structure at 104 South Stone Street. First arriving Volunteer Firefighters found a free burning fire with a heavy smoke condition issuing from the multi-story, multi-family residential structure and immediately struck additional alarms. One occupant with serious life-threatening injuries was transported by Ambulance to Lead-Deadwood Monument Hospital.
