Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham will be lit up in memory of Sarah Everard Twickenham s Orleans House Gallery is set to be lit up in memory of Sarah Everard and to recognise the need to end gender-based abuse and violence. Richmond Council confirmed the gallery would be lit up from Wednesday (March 17). The colour orange is used by the United Nations in its UNiTE by 2030 to End Violence against Women campaign – a multi-year effort aimed at preventing and eliminating violence against women and girls around the world. One in three women and girls experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. A new campaign aimed at providing simple information about COVID-19 is launching in Richmond upon Thames – and the Council is encouraging residents to take part. The COVID-19 Community Information Champions scheme hopes to recruit individuals who live or work in the borough and want to help others stay safe and informed. Volunteers are kept up to date with the latest COVID-19 information and guidance, including the roll out of the vaccine programme. Previous experience is not required, and volunteers will be given instructions from the Council, its Public Health team and the NHS. Cllr Gareth Roberts, Leader of Richmond Council, said:
