Gov. Andrew Cuomo May Face Probe For Alleged Misuse Of State Resources To Develop His Book A Cuomo senior adviser calls the allegations patently absurd. New York’s attorney general has been asked to investigate possible misuse of public resources by Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) during the development and promotion of his book about the COVID-19 pandemic.  State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli sent a letter to Attorney General Letitia James last week to officially request the probe. Such a request is required before James can launch a criminal investigation.
