不过也有惊喜点。首先就是张常宁，发挥稳定，越来越有主攻的担当和霸气，帮助朱婷分担不少，甚至成为本场比赛的担当。其次是接应龚翔宇，发挥一如既往稳定，甚至比之前下球更干脆利索，成功率不错。还有备受质疑的自由人王梦洁，虽然还是让很多人不满意，很想念林莉，一传接球不多，有些球难度大没法球，但相比之前，她也算有进步，有几个关键球救得很好很成功，难怪郎平一直坚持用她。
但是这次比赛还是有些意外的地方。比如不仅总比分是0比3落后，单局比分也不高，甚至第二局开场一度以0比8落后，这确实让人意外甚至失望难受，以现在队伍的实力和之前的状态，不应该如此。
因为毕竟之前的世界联赛朱婷等主力休息了一半，中间又有一段时间调整，按理说伤病应该为了奥运做了充分调整修复。
