Lear Corp. has been selected by GM to supply its BDU on all SUVs and trucks built on the automaker's Ultium EV platform through 2030.

The Southfield-based auto supplier will exclusively supply the battery disconnect units on all GM trucks and SUVs using the Ultium platform.

Lear is working with state and local officials on a plan to open a new manufacturing facility.
