While the plans have not been given official approval yet, Eastman is hoping to have an answer in the next few days.

Saturday was a big day in west Louisville as the Louisville Urban League broke ground on a new medical building.

Eastman said this is a temporary solution for the beginning of the school year. The need for remote learning will be reassessed as the school year progresses and construction on the new building continues.

The new Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus is still under construction and water supply is an issue both for the sprinkler system and general use.

The Sumner family shared their thoughts on the new school building after touring and learning about all it has to offer future students from Principal Green.
