A new leisure and learning campus will be built in East Renfrewshire after councillors backed the project.

The decision for a district to develop such a program is a local one, as pre-K programs are not universally available in the state.

Along with the savings on the school district’s energy bill, “We’re doing this because we want to encourage greater adoption of solar throughout the state of Maine,” said RSU 24 Facilities and Operations Manager Janet Jordan.
