Female shooting victim dies in hospital May 14 2021
Police say Danae K. Williams, 25, and a male victim were shot in Northeast Portland on May 12.
The female victim in the May 12 shooting in Northeast Portland has died in the hospital.
Police have identified the victim as Danae K. Williams, 25, of Portland. The male victim is still in the hospital with critical injuries. No suspect information has been released.
According to police, the investigation began at 8:55p.m. last Wednesday when North Precinct officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 6800 block of Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. When the officers arrived, they located two shooting victims, an adult male and adult female. The victims were transported to a hospital for treatment. Their injuries were considered life threatening.

Police are investigating two shootings on Wednesday, May 12, including a killing in broad daylight.
According to police, a man was shot to death around 5:30 p.m. near Northeast Sandy Boulevard and Northeast 118th Avenue.
Family members identified the victim as Jalon Yoakum.
The shooting happened in an area where several people were going to pick up dinner from a local pizza restaurant and a barbecue restaurant. This shooting touched many members of the community, including Pastor J.W. Matt Hennessee.
