Friends and family were served a Burns Day musical treat with a difference last week. In celebration of the birth of our national bard Robert Burns. the Two Ronnies – father and son Ron and Ronald Swanson – shared a Scottish musical medley of nine favourite Robert Burns songs via Facebook. The medley included – Leezie Lindsay, There Was A Lad, Afton Water, My Love is Like a Red Red Rose, Ae Fond Kiss, Ye Banks & Braes, A Man’s A Man for A’ That, The Star O’ Rabbie Burns and Auld Lang Syne. The virtual performance was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by hundreds, including friends in across the pond in the USA and even in Zambia.
