Lehrmann Trial News Today

The ACTs top prosecutor in the Lehrmann trial will again front the Board of Inquiry for a third day of public hearings, investigating how the justice system handled rape allegations made by former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins.

The inquiry will investigate the handling of Brittany Higgins’ rape allegations by ACT authorities.

Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt has labelled the handling of the Lehrmann rape trial a "disgrace" as the lead prosecutor faces calls to resign over his decision to prosecute the former Liberal party adviser.

Lisa Wilkinson has been dropped from the witness stand in the Lehrmann rape trial as Brittany Higgins returns to court to resume her cross-examination on Friday.

Brittany Higgins will be quizzed about secret recordings that she made, including one with a senior cabinet minister and her chief of staff, as her rape trial enters day four.
