A new technique can generate batches of certain entangled states in a quantum processor. This advance could help scientists study the fundamental quantum property of entanglement and enable them to build larger and more complex quantum processors.

Atlantic Quantum, which spun out of research at MIT, has developed a new type of quantum architecture that’s easier to scale.

MIT researchers developed a superconducting qubit architecture that can perform operations between qubits with much higher accuracy than scientists have yet been able to achieve. Utilizing a superconducting qubit called fluxonium, the architecture is scalable and could be used to build a large-scale quantum computer.
