Side of the metro. back to you. chad, if this current tornado moves towards oklahoma city, that s a major, major urban area, much bigger than joplin, missouri, for example. folks have to start preparing right now. could be within the next few hours. is that right? it is. and oklahoma city proper, all the way from guthrie to edmund and down to norman kind of stretches out in a north-south fashion. not so much east and west, but north and south along i-35. and so as the tornado comes up he here, it s certain to hit on the ground. it s certain to hit some, either moore, norman, oklahoma city, or maybe even down towards midwest city and then across. this could be right into downtown for that matter. as it moves to the north and northeast right along the turner turnpike, right along the turnpike itself here. and there s another storm heading into guthrie. that s the big storm that i m very worried about. is that the storm? is that truly? that is live. this is the chickasha storm?

That tornado proper. we know it s there. we know it s headed to piedmont, oklahoma. if you re anywhere near that area, you need to be in a safe place now. this is a very large tornado on the ground. and define a safe place, chad. well, in oklahoma, i lived there for 2 1/2 years. there are very few basements. the safest place is inside your home, in between you and as many walls and the outside as you can. think about this. don t be on the very outside edge of your house where there is a window right there and you can see outside. put a wall and then another wall and then maybe a closet inside of a bedroom between you and the outside. anywhere down below ground is obviously the safest place to be. and there are also safe rooms that you can build or have built for you with kevlar anchored to the slab itself. they are a few thousand dollars but those safe rooms could have saved some lives. people in oklahoma have those safe rooms. they take their garage and blast

So now from piedmont right there on the map and then into the northwestern sections of oklahoma city property and into edmond. maybe up towards gut rhrie and it s a long, long time friend of mine and when he says that there s something on the ground, you can believe that. he s an outstanding meteorologist and mike morgan, i worked with him as well. the entire area there is in danger from piedmont to the northwest across the northwest expressway into edmond. you need to be taking cover now. a tornado that could be 150 miles per hour. chad, i want to play that video one more time right now. because you see these utility poles, they are ripping up like tooth picks. let s watch and listen. you can see the front of it. everything that is dark in between there, mike, is the tornado. it s on the ground and on the west side of piedmont.
