And there were so many that day. the firefighters and the police officers, those were heroes in uniforms. these were folks who boarded a flight from new jersey, headed to san francisco on business trips, on vacations, to see friends and family. they did not sign up to be heroes that morning and a lot of attention is paid to todd beamer, going on a business trip himself to san francisco for one day. he was an account manager and it was todd beamer who said "lets roll" as they stormed the cockpit....
