Coming off a CMAC title last year, the Jays picked up their first conference dual victory of the season Thursday with a 59-21 victory against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers at Fleming Fieldhouse.

For the first time in program history, the Jefferson City Lady Jays received team honors. The Lady Jays took first in the Steve Johnson Invitational with 92 points Saturday at Fleming Fieldhouse, finishing just ahead of Blair Oaks in second with 85. Wright City claimed third at 71 points.

COLUMBIA Lexi Dunwiddie set a goal before the start of the Class 1 girls wrestling state championships. She wanted to make the finals. Dunwiddie found a way to top that Thursday night at Mizzou Arena.
