Apr 30, 2021 The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Alabama running back Najee Harris in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, much to the dismay of the "running backs dont matter/running backs dont belong in the first-round" crowd. Admittedly so, yours truly is a part of said crowd, going as far as to write a piece on why Najee would be a "good but not great" pick in the first round. Truth be told, I still feel that way, especially with some of the talent that fell/was available to the Steelers wit...

Brett Rojo-USA TODAY Sports With the No. 5 overall pick, the Cincinnati Bengals selected LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who reunites with his former quarterback, Joe Burrow. Many in Cincinnati loved the pick, but analysts from all around felt they should’ve opted to strengthen their offensive line with Oregon Ducks tackle Penei Sewell. Las Vegas Review-Journal, Mayock said of the pick: "We knew it would be controversial. We completely understand that." Mayock went on to explain the rationale of the decision, citing the endorsements from offensive line coach Tom Cable and head coa...

0 of 9 Tony Dejak/Associated Press If youre an NFL draft viewer, three short phrases likely dominate your living room during Round 1 every year.  1. "Thats a steal!" 2. "Thats a reach!" 3. "Thats a surprise!" Steals, of course, are players who should have come off the board earlier than they did. Reaches are players in the opposite circumstance. Surprises are, well, surprises—sometimes positive, sometimes negative, always unexpected by definition.  With that in mind, lets review the opening...

I tried my hand but included trades one each with TB, KC and NO to grab some extra picks this year and a couple for next year. I did break a norm for the Steelers by not getting a WR at all with...

There’s little secret about the first two picks, but the last couple of months have made it painfully clear how uncertain the rest of the picks between the 49ers and Broncos will go. Could George Paton grab a quarterback? Perhaps, but the one he likes has to be available. What follows is my best guess at tonight’s draft selections if Atlanta decides to take the heir to Matt Ryan. If you’ve kept up with my work, you’ll know this is not my favorite scenario. 1....
