Police step up efforts to transform Islamabad into crime free capital: SSP Islamabad, March 09, 2021 (PPI-OT): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer on Tuesday said the force has renewed efforts to transform Islamabad into a crime free capital. All resources would be utilized to secure the lives and properties of citizens, he said in a statement issued here. He said that, in last 24 hours, ICT Police arrested 12 criminals including two members of a snatcher’s gang and recovered snatched cash, kites, strings and weapons from their possession. Efforts afoot to make Islamabad safest city: SSP

Islamabad January 28, 2021 Islamabad: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Syed Mustafa Tanvir on Wednesday said efforts were afoot to make Islamabad the safest city as it was the foremost priority of the federal capital police. A massive crackdown had been launched against anti-social elements and drug peddlers to purge this menace from the city, the SSP said in a statement. Meanwhile, Islamabad Police has arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession. The police stations falling under the jurisdiction of Industrial Area zone conducted special checking following the directions of SP Liaqat Hayat Niazi.

11-years old boy reunited with parents Islamabad, January 25, 2021 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Shams Colony police on Monday reunited 11-year old missing boy with his family, a police spokesman said. According to details, a woman informed Shams Colony police that his 11-year old son Masab Bin Umair had been missing and could not be traced despite hectic efforts by family members. Following this information, SP (Industrial-Area) Liaqat Hayat Niazi constituted a special team under supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood Awan to trace the missing boy. This team including SHO Shams Colony police station Aamir Abbas searched various under-construction buildings, houses and garbage heaps.
